Early in his career Dr. Basch was part of a large group or orthopedic surgeons in North Jersey and immediately felt that the patients were not getting their fair say. In 2001 he left and started The Spine and Orthopedic Center of New Jersey. Dr. Basch has since put his heart and soul into making his practice what it is today. He has done this by using the two most important instruments in the field of orthopedic medicine. Using his eyes and his ears. Where many orthopedic surgeons are only interested in finding a fixable problem on an X-Ray or MRI Dr. Basch is dedicated to also treating the person as a whole. Factors such as lifestyle, habits, and stress can affect the treatment and recovery of an injury. Getting to know a patient by spending more time with them helps Dr. Basch in his diagnosis and treatment. It also allows him to choose the best method for a swift and more comfortable recovery.

Where many orthopedic surgeons say they want to give their patients a "personal touch" Dr. Basch and his entire medical and support staff are truly dedicated to it.
